# Gotta luv yr books. Where did you first get your inspiration from?

Lynsay Sands Well, I've always written, but my first book that was published was inspired by my mother. Or, actually, by her death. The year following losing her was a tough one with a lot of weeping and grieving. After a year I decided I needed something to kick me out of the blues losing her had caused. I went looking for a funny book to make me laugh, but bookstores list horrors, romance, etc. but don't have a separate listing for funny romance, or funny horrors. At least they don't up here in Canada. When I couldn't find something funny, I decided to sit down and write my own funny story to help lift my mood...and The Deed was the result.
