That's a tough one. I'm rather fond of two of Jane Austen's couples - Anne and Captain Wentworth from Persuasion, and Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. Off the top of my head, I would have to name them, though that feels somewhat like the easy answer.
