Lisa See Soles were absolutely made that way. In fact, there are parts of China -- and I bet other parts of the world -- where shoes are still made that way. When I was in China, an old woman told me how to make them.

I just finished reading The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. There are so many lessons that I took from this book, including you Acknowledgements. The insights I gain is that I must listen. Listen to my heart, dreams and intuition as this book started with a dream. I must put my who heart into whatever I do, even if it takes years to see it come to fruition. What did you mean by no coincidence, no story?
