Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Lance Oren Undoubtedly it's Clark Kent and Louis Lane for many reasons. Growing up in rural America I looked forward to the new Superman Comic books. It seemed the couple could never connect in a love relationship due to world events and bad guys. Although strong and handsome could an Alien from another world really find happiness with an earthling? And another question never touch upon was he immortal on earth and would see so many Louis come and go?
