Thanks very much for your kind words. For the accents, Carthya would be closest to a British accent, Avenia would be similar to Prince Caspian's on the second Narnia movie. Bymar would tilt more Welsh. Mendenwal would be closer to the stricter consonant accent of a German, and Gelyn would be closer to an accent from the Netherlands.

For book beginnings, look at ways to start with your main character in action, and possibly already in some degree of trouble. That allows you to reveal character immediately and draws your reader's attention in quickly. Good luck!
