My favorite fictional couple is one I imagined and wrote a novel about—Maidie Cameron Munro and Andrew Dubh Munro in A Highland Pearl. Maidie is a strong, yet gentle and kind heroine. She is beautiful inside and out and so loves Andrew, she is willing to sacrifice her good life in Clan Munro for one of drudgery with her father to save Andrew. Andrew, as chief of Clan Munro, is a strong character, also. He loves Maidie and readily puts his own life at risk to get her back.
