This is super sad, but I just went and looked at my bookshelves, and I have an alarming lack of non-American, non-British books. Which is a BAD THING and must be remedied. That being said, I adore 19th Russian writers, so maybe something by Tolstoi or Dostoyevksy? I do love my volume of Tolstoi short stories!

I recently finished your book 'The Peculiar' and I really liked it! When I found out you started writing it when you were 16 I was like, "Wow, that's incredible!!!" I LOVE reading! I always love it when I take a chance on a book and it is great! I also play the piano, and I love that too! Okay, now to the question(s)! :) What writer ( if any) inspired you to write books? Stephen, I have to ask, how in the world do you write like you do!? It's beautiful stuff and you're only 18. I mean how do you know so much great vocab, how do you form these sentences, how do you depict these amazing scenes!?
