That's so nice to hear! And I'm so happy you enjoyed CINDERS AND SPARROWS. I'm not planning a sequel to it right now. My next children's book is out in June and is all monster hunting and drama and traveling across the land, whereas Cinders was a bit more cozy. After RELEASE THE WOLVES, I think I will go back to cozier stuff for a bit, but whether Zita will get a second outing... I'm not sure! I loved writing her story, though, and definitely have a few ideas about what might happen next.

Stephen, I have to ask, how in the world do you write like you do!? It's beautiful stuff and you're only 18. I mean how do you know so much great vocab, how do you form these sentences, how do you depict these amazing scenes!? Have you given any thought as to what the rest of the world was like during the events of the Peculiar and the Whatnot? Like how the arrival of the faeries in England affected the rest of the world? I know there was a mention in the Pecuilar in the Privy Council scene of implied use of faerie technology to make America part of England again. I think it would make for an interesting short story.

Even though I already have a copy somewhere in hard back, I found a signed copy of "The Peculiar" at Half Price Books this weekend. I love paperbacks and that you had signed it was perfect. Do you prefer to read paperback books or hard backed books? Or, do you find you listen to audio books more?
