Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Al Barrera I like couples who don't make grand displays of love. They're fantastic, don't get me wrong, but the day to day love is the kind I like to see in fiction. The realistic love that isn't a thousand flowers in the living room, but the lawn mowed. Not diamond necklaces, but a note on the kitchen table. Instead of talking about how someone would die for someone else, I like to hear them say how they'll live for the other person. It's better in the real world, and I like it better in my fiction too.
