Do you ever find it difficult to tap into the different characters? Is the situations that the teens in your books live in personal to you at all (i.e. abusive homes, foster care, street problems)? Who are your favourite male and female leads in your books?

Hi Fatima,
Yes, sometimes I find it very difficult to tap into different characters but that's because I often have to visit some dark emotional places to write them and that's not an easy thing to do.
There are some issues in my books that are personal to me. There are others that friends of mine went through, and then there are others that I witnessed from a distance. Regardless, I always do my research.
Favorite characters are so tough because I love them all. I do have a crush on Isaiah and I absolutely love Abby!
