Hi Sonia,
When I start series, I have a broad, over arching idea of where plots and characters are heading. At the time I mentioned Mia Ziggler, I was pretty convinced I was going to write Addison's story next, but at the 3/4 mark of Walk the Edge, I realized Violet's story would be the third book.
I kept the reference to Mia Ziggler because I guess there is a part of me that hasn't given up the hope of someday telling Addison's story. The Mia Ziggler story told around Snowflake, KY would have had a great impact on Addison's story.
The Thunder Road series is only 3 books. That was the agreement me and my publisher came to and it's a decision I one million percent respect.
I think there's a part of me that just hated leaving Addison without a happily-ever-after so I kept that reference there as a reminder to me of who Addison is and where her life could go if she found the courage.
