I've read through the Q & A and I see there will be more books coming?! It's great. I really enjoyed reading The Bear and the Nightingale. (By the way, forgive me for saying but on your book cover photo you look a lot like a Hungarian swimmer called Zsuzsanna Jakabos. :) )

Katherine Arden Yes, there will be 2 more books. Follow me on FB or Twitter (@katherineardenauthor and @arden_katherine respectively) for more info. Book 2 should drop early 2018 I imagine. Also, thank you. I am all about resembling an amazing athlete :p

Hi Katherine. I wanted to reach out and say that I LOVE your books. As a Russian speaking person, born in Belarus back in the Soviet Union days, I must say that I am simply amazed at how well you konw the Russian literature, folklore and history. It always puts a smile on my face to read about Morozko, domovoj and other creatures. I read that you lived in Moscow - did that help you to research for the books?

I originally thought the Bear and the Nightingale was a stand-alone book. Did you plan for it to be a trilogy? Or did that happen after its success? I'm so thrilled that there will be another one coming out soon!
