Are elements of your stories ever inspired by real life and your experiences?

Allison Tebo Not really. I think perhaps that sometimes my emotional experiences serve as an unconscious inspiration - but that's it; unless I'm writing something in a contemporary setting, in which case I use a lot of my own preposterous blunders as inspiration for humorous scenes.

But most of my books are set in sci-fi or fantasy settings...not very similiar (unfortunately) to my real life experiences!

What happened to Life at Hedgerose? Will it be published soon, or are you focusing on the Ambia series for now? I love the bits I've read of Life at Hedgerose, but I also love Ambia so I can't decide which I'm more excited about: the next Ambia tale or the rest of Life at Hedgerose!
