Thank you Nadia for writing When the Moon is Low which I loved reading albeit with such sadness in my heart for the plight of refugee families seeking a safe haven. Will there be a continuation of these characters in another context?

Nadia Hashimi Hi Helen, Thanks for taking the time to read and write. I get this question a lot and it means you cared about my characters. I have no plans to pick up this story and continue at this moment but I won't say never. I put Saleem and his family through so much already, I find it hard to imagine putting them through much more. Of course, there is more to their story, just as there is more to any of our stories. For now, I'll leave it to the readers to imagine how the next chapter might unfold. Wish you good reads always.

Hi Nadia.. I've read all 3 of your fiction novels and I am a huge fan. I am so fascinated with Middle Eastern culture, especially bacha posh. I was wondering about something. For a challenge I am participating in, I have to read a book with a LGBTQ+ character and I wanted your opinion on whether A Pearl That Broke Its Shell would qualify?
