I have started the Dark series and love it! I assumed that once the Carpathian men lose their emotions, color, etc at around 200 years that they would be celibate. More than one hero has said he lost the ability to feel desire until they found their lifemate. However both Barack and Rand seemed to sleep around? How does it work?

Barack and Rand were exceptions. Barack was never really without his lifemate, but he didn't understand what was going on, so he was with other women more as "surrogates" until he claimed her.

I love your books the Dark Series being my favo and Dark Legend as one of my fav top five, because I believe the greatest love story of all was the story about the love of th two brothers. In the Before the Dark, Vlad mentioned a journal he had written and should give to Mikhail was that the book that Natalya and Vikernoff found and gave to Mikhail, if not where is the journal and what's in it?
