I may be wrong but is she confusing abuse with being what the character is? Is he not a Carpathian close to becoming a vampire? Wouldn't that make him a bit dark? I think she needs to read all the series and see they are the most protective of their mate! What is wrong with her?

I've read both books. Shadow Fire and Shadow Dance. I find them both to be exciting and real page turners. The women are hilarious and intelligent. Not soapy or slouchy. I probably will read them again. I really enjoy Shadow Rider, the first one. Will there be another?
