I read Catch of the Day a few months ago, and just recently finished The Next Best Thing. Here on Goodreads, they're tagged as the first two books of the Gideon's Cove series. Having read the blurb for the third book, Somebody to Love, my question is, how are Catch of the Day and The Next Best Thing related at all?

Kristan Higgins They're not really a series. Catch of the Day is set in Gideon's Cove; The Next Best Thing introduces Parker; Somebody To Love shows Parker going to Gideon's Cove. They're more connected than a true series; it's Somebody To Love that links them.
