I spent a few months researching another project when I kept bumping against elements of local history that few seemed to know about. I couldn't resist digging deeper to find a story that I could reveal to my community that would remind everyone that crazy big ideas really do happen, occasionally save the day, and in the process, heal old hurts. A good lesson to remember.
