Breathing this air expands more than my lungs, it's stretching my soul to imagine life beyond this old earth. But, to answer your question, I always choose a novel set in southern France because the setting is one that inspires my imagination to walk those lavender-scented backroads and stare off the cliffs to the impossibly beautiful Mediterranean.
