Xiggy I think that anyone above the age of twelve could read this book, but as it is about abuse, there is a need for a trigger warning. I don't think it should be banned for younger readers because I feel that it's important that they understand and learn about the realities of the themes of this book.
Saf I'm 13 and read this book a few weeks ago. It was really emotional and I did cry at parts but I didn't find that it was way too unbearable for me to read although it was very sad. I think it's fine to read 13 upwards but as a warning, it's very dramatic and horrid at parts. If you are an overly sensitive teenager, then maybe this isn't the book for you. x
Alentia I am 22 and I struggled to read this, I was in tears. It is a fantastic book but has a lot of triggers (abused and possibly eating disorders.) I would say at least late teens because of this.
Jamie Renee Personally, I've just started and possibly 16-18. It depends if you can take the abuse trigger. I'd definitely say mature readers, but that's just me.
