Jeff, I just finished listening to The Short and Tragic Life of Rob Peace on CD (read by you). Such a riveting and sad story, one really with no clear answers. I wanted to compliment you on the detail of the book. What was your method for collecting all the facts? That is really an impressive endeavor and clearly a labor of love. Best regards, Robin Lackner

Thank you very much for reaching out--it means a lot, for real. Sorry for the years-long delay in responding, I really don't visit social websites but have been trying to be better about it as my next book, called Show Them You're Good, comes out in August, about kids in high school in different neighborhoods. As to your question, I didn't really have a method--it was basically me stumbling clumsily around Newark, NJ, knocking on doors and listening. I would only say that a lot of walls that might have naturally existed between me and many of the caring people who put their cherished memories forward fell down quickly through the commonality of loving Rob, and that was a powerful experience. Sincerely, Jeff

Great Book. I listened to it on audible. 1.Do you foresee it being turned into a movie? 2. Did Rob selling drugs through your dorm room and apartment ever create a conflict between him and you or ty. Did you never worry about a blemish on your records if he was caught by the Police? 4. Did Jackie Peace really never had any suspicion that his son was dealing drugs, or was using them as much as he was?
