I'm currently working on a bunch of projects. The highest priority is the eighth Laundry Files novel, "The Delirium Brief" (and for Laundry fans? This is another Bob novel) which is in production for release in July 2017. Close behind it is "Dark State", the second Empire Games book (release date: January 2018 — the third in the trilogy, "Invisible Sun", is due in January 2019).
Finally, because I've written eight sequel novels in a row and it's driving me a little bit mad, I'm working on a new space opera, first in a sequence, titled "Ghost Engine", due out in July 2018—set two-thirds of a million years in our future, after humanity has expanded across the entire local group of galaxies (yes, there is FTL travel) and speciated into different hominid types.

Hi Charlie! Last year at Eurocon 2016 in Barcelona, and following the round table on posthumanism and gender, you said that you were about to publish a novel on that topic. However, none of the summaries for your new books in 2017 seems to correspond to this. Can you tell me which book you meant? Thanks!! Sara

Hey Charles, I recall reading somewhere (possibly in one of your Reddit posts) that you were writing a novel that took place in the same universe as "Glasshouse" that was (dare I say, as I'm sure you're tired of hearing the comparison), similar to The Culture series. Just curious if it was still in the works. Any idea for release date? Thanks, Nate
