How do you get inspired to write?

Christopher Paolini In general I draw from the experiences I’ve had, the books I’ve read, the movies I’ve seen, the music I listen to, and my own quiet times of reflection when creative ideas pop into my mind. And I'm inspired by the beautiful valley where I live, with the jagged Beartooth Mountains piercing the sky on one side. When I look at them, I imagine that a dragon just might be soaring amid their peaks.
