If you could create another fictional language for a novel, which real life language would you base if off of? Or alternatively, which languages are the most intriguing to you? Your books are quite special to me; I've met a close friend through the Inheritance cycle. When I moved away, I was distraught. But just propping Eragon open reminds me that no matter the miles between us, memories will stay eternally with us.

Christopher Paolini Glad you’ve enjoyed the books so much. As for your question . . . I actually have been working on the concept of a pheromone based language in my new book. It’s not easy, but lots of fun to think about. Not sure about a real world language I’d choose. Maybe one of the click languages, like Xhosa.
