I have to admit, it happened on the page. Once a year, we have an all member critique in my local writing chapter, and we usually submit the first chapter of something. So I sat down and just wrote that first scene out of fun, and when Lynne took of her shirt, her heart was blue. I thought it was interesting. Then when I was up for recontracting with my publisher, I sent that scene, and my editor really liked it and wanted three books. Then...I had to figure out why Lynne's heart was blue. (The prequel novella, Scorpius Rising, was actually written after the first book was written). :)

Hi Rebecca, I absolutely love the Scorpius Syndrome books. They are the first books by you that I have read and I truly fell in love with the concept, characters, and setting. My question is, where did you get your inspiration for the setting of Scorpius Syndrome. It is so well described it is easy to visualize the world and I am curious as to what inspired it? Thank you.

I am just loving the Realm Enforcers series. I don't care for witch stories, but these witches in the Real Enforcers are very different. I mean . . what witch shoots fireballs? Super cool! Ride motorcycle? Sexy! Will there be any more Realm Enforcers after these five books?
