Hi Rebecca. I am wondering how much you know about the cast of characters and overall story arc of a series when you get started. Like when you first wrote Dark Protectors, how much did you know about Janie's future role in this world and her connection to Zane?

Rebecca Zanetti Hi Hillary! Well, with my first series, I didn't know anything about the overall arc when I wrote Fated. I figured out where it was all going to go by the end of Book 3. However, now with the new series arc of The Seven, I have the heroes, heroines, villains, and loose idea for each of the nine books. I created a fun chart with all of them, which keeps me a bit organized and was also a good way to procrastinate from writing for a bit. :). I'm working on my website for the next month or so and will be updating the 'for authors' section, and I'll include a spot on writing series and series arcs. So basically, these days when I start a series, I know the number of books, the characters in each book, and a general idea of what the book is about. This changes as I write, though.
