How long does it take you from just an idea to the actual writing of a new book? Do you plan it all out ahead of time or just wing it?

Hi Heidi,
Just to let you know, there is no right or wrong length of time to write a book. Just how long it takes you. :-)
It usually takes me about a year from conception of an idea to finishing the book. I usually take a few months to think about the idea, a few months to write it then about two months to revise.

Hello Katie, I am an avid reader and love both the Thunder Road novels, and the Pushing the Limits series. As I am looking for more of your works to read I stumbled upon "Crossing the Line", "Red at Night", "Breaking the Rules", and "Chasing Impossible, unfortunately my heart was broken to find out that they are only in an ebook form, and I could not find them in a book format anywhere I looked. Will they be soon??
