By reading timeless stories and powerful classical music, instrumentals when I'm writing in action scene. Pretty much I get up, find a Stephen King's Carrie, Lord of the Rings, love bible stories or what's trending on Amazon, read for a few minutes to an hour then start the process. Depending on the chapter, if I'm writing a love scene, something heart felt, etc... that's the kind of music I listen to to carry along the story. A lot of Debussy, Daughter, and Sleeping At Last.
