As of today, Augustus and Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars. It's funny, about a month ago I decided I was going to start reading more books on Amazons most popular list and saw this book dangling over every best seller or to read section. Giving in, I read, I laughed, I cried, I laughed even more, then I mourned. Augustus and Hazel's relationship is something you don't have the liberty of seeing too often, where two individuals seemed cosmically designed for each other... and what they had ended to quickly. Their humor, how they are intellectually compatible, to how genuine they were till the bitter end. It was a joy to read.

By finding a new place to write. I'm inspired by my environment. The more open space I have, windows, or just sitting in an open field gets my brain ticking and building the next line. Sometimes, just walking away and waiting until I see the new chapter. Take a nap hahahaha...

Truly, no one can tell you what is good and what isn't. Example, JK Rowling was rejected for years before she landed success. Tolkien had a hard time getting published in the U.S, Stephenie Meyer was rejected over ten times but agents. My point, if you love your work then some else will love your art too. Who's to say that your next idea might be your big break, just keep going.

A few projects actually. I recently finished book two to my Beast of the Lands series which I'm in love with and picking up where my main character Nathan left off. I also started writing a wildly, insanely wondrous book about a key and where a door can take you, and one about rediscovering your past and becoming who you were meant to be kind of vibe. Everything that I write will have a touch of enchantment and magic, but I want to write for me and do completely opposite of the current market. Lets just say in 2017, I've been inspired.

By reading timeless stories and powerful classical music, instrumentals when I'm writing in action scene. Pretty much I get up, find a Stephen King's Carrie, Lord of the Rings, love bible stories or what's trending on Amazon, read for a few minutes to an hour then start the process. Depending on the chapter, if I'm writing a love scene, something heart felt, etc... that's the kind of music I listen to to carry along the story. A lot of Debussy, Daughter, and Sleeping At Last.

Honestly, from school, art class really. I was completely bored out of mine sitting there in lecture until we began discussing therianthropy. Never heard the word, but I was intrigued. My professor showed us beautiful paintings and drawings by Les Trois Freses, and my favorite The Kelpie by Herbert James Draper. Its was then that I sparked an idea, began seeing a woodsy world and characters, but I chose to set my dreams aside because I figured that I wasn't a writer. Months passed, and I found myself driving home through a forest path in California. My car breaks down an I'm stuck outside in the cold, listening to the dark snowy world around me. Then bam, I found the place where my characters lived, actually felt like I saw them, the battles in the shadows. I was hooked writing ever since.
