Kim Severn
Kim Severn asked Jacqueline Winspear:

How many revisions do you do before you are satisfied with a story?

Jacqueline Winspear I don't know that I am every completely satisfied, but my books go through 2 - 3 revisions with my editor. My editor always receives the first raw draft, then while she's reading I make my own notes, and combine her notes with mine to provide the first revised draft. Then there's generally one more go-round before the book goes to copyediting. With a "book per year" there is no time for lots of revisions.
