Do you have any cross-references between locations in the Sharing Knife series and locations in "our" world? Some are obvious, e.g. Graymouth = New Orleans, and of course the Grace and Gray rivers are the Ohio and Mississippi but I'd love to try to visualize where Lumpton / West Blue / Hickory Lake and so on would be found.

Playing 1:1 correspondences between the books and our world would be an exercise in frustration, I'm afraid. But Lumpton etc. might be Central Ohio, maybe. Sort of. It's a bit of pre-fabricated worldbuilding, not an attempt at historical fiction with the serial numbers filed off.

Hello! I loved the Sharing Knife and Chalion series, but Sharing Knife really resonated with me. It's such a unique world and I've never read one like it. While I'm sure you get these questions all the time, will you explore the Sharing Knife universe further? Perhaps maybe a 50 years into the future or something. I'd love to see how Dag and Fawn, and their children, change their world. Thanks!

I asked you a while ago if Illyan was modeled after Illya Kuryakin. Your answer was that Illya was definitely an inspiration for the character. Since I would say this makes you a fan of Man from U.N.C.L.E., I was wondering if you saw the movie and, if so, what you thought of it? BTW, I love Illyan. Wonder why?
