Is this book suitable for a 15/16 year old? It isn't a YA but would it be boring for them?

Jeffrey It would not be boring for a teen, particular a strong reader into sci-fi. It's similar in some ways to Terry Pratchett's "Long Earth" series, which I let my teenage son read. But be warned there is sex in this book. The sex scenes aren't especially graphic, but they become a point of discussion among characters. It isn't just that sex happens in a throwaway scene. The fact that the sex happens becomes something the characters struggle with. It's hard to explain in more detail without giving away spoilers.
Rachel Reynolds I don't think it would be boring, especially if they are into sci-fi. If they like Michael Crichton style novels, I would say this is similar but a faster read. There is some adult language (f-bombs), some sex (not gratuitous) and some violence but a relatively mature 15-16 year old could probably handle it.
