Hello! I really enjoyed the first two books in your "The Last Apprentice" series, and I plan on reading the rest of them as soon as possible. I was wondering, what sparked your love for writing, and when did you know that you were going to pursue it as a career?

Joseph Delaney My love of writing came from my love of reading. I would read a good book and wish I had written it. I started writing every morning before I went to work and after 10 years of rejections I finally got published.

Would this series be appropriate for an 8-10 year old boy? He is an avid reader - is always look for a new author.
