Is there any more news on the possible release of HB versions of the Original Riyria?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Felix, Thanks for asking. It WILL happen, we just are trying to get the deal adjusted. Our plan was to offer both Rare and Limited editions. The rare would match the rare edition of The Death of Dulgath - covers in faux leather, and using a slipcase. The limited edition would be a larger press run (but still limited and numbered). It would mirror the limited edition of The Death of Dulgath (linen cover with a 4-color dust jacket.
When we go the contracts from Orbit, it had only one version. What we weren't sure is whether it was a matter of they didn't understand the request, or they were saying no to the original concept, and this was all they were offering.
The contract person changed recently so we are dealing with some one new. The first email with them was just a few days ago and publishing closes down between Christmas and the New Year so we won't know anything right away. But one way or the other we will have "something."
For those who are interested in in signing up to be notified with the hardcovers are available, here is a link for that.

Are you going to sue Dabel Brothers for what they did with the Kickstarter for the Death of Dulgath graphic novel (i.e. - embezzling people's money, and besmirching your good name in the process)?? Most of us understand it is exactly 0% your fault, but there will always be naive people, who won't; and that's just not fair to you, as you have always been so incredibly loyal to your readers. I think you should sue them.
