Bridget
Bridget asked Kendare Blake:

Hi Ms. Blake! I just finished your book, Three Dark Crowns, and I literally screamed by the end of it! It was AMAZING!! My question is do you have any advice for a young, aspiring author like me? How can I make my book series better? Thank you so much! :)

Kendare Blake Thanks, Bridget! It's hard to answer this question in a general sense, but I'll try. Things you can do to make your work stronger:

1. READ. And maybe even study what you're reading, to think of it in new ways
2. Let it rest before revising. Sometimes I need six months or a year before I can see everything wrong with a draft
3. Get thee to a workshop or a critique group. Writer folk whose eyes and judgment you trust are worth their weight in gold, and often become good friends
4. WRITE. New things, different things, better things. Experiment. Some will suck. Some will be rad.

And good luck!
