Dianne K. Salerni I don't know how or why those grade/age levels are assigned. They seem pretty random to me. The publisher, HMH, lists The Caged Graves as Grade 7-12 on their website. There's no sex in it, and nothing very scary. It's basically a mystery in a historical setting, not a horror story. Thanks for your interest! I hope you are allowed to get it! :)
