Scotty T asked:

Found these books at a thrift store.. Magician, Magician: Master and Silverthorn, the order of these books seems to be different on each website. Can someone explain the core books I need to read? Magician is the same as Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master??

You'll thank me for it. :)
Scotty T Thanks for responding! Just started reading Magician and it's pretty excellent so far.
Peter Lee Yes, at one point, they had published Magician as 1 book but because it was pretty long, it was separated into Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master. Same books though.
Michael Hayes the books are in order: magician apprentice, magician master, silverthorn and a darkness at sethanon
Kevin J Magician was his first book, published in 1982. In the US market, it was split into two parts, due to its enormous size, Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master. The next book was Silverthorn and the third A Darkness at Sethanon, and became known as the Riftwar Saga. In 1992, the author was allowed to create a ten-year anniversary edition of Magician known as the Author's Preferred Edition. Feist thus included all the stuff that was edited out of his original publication, and he retained the concept of the two separate volumes. According to the author, nothing really changed with the story or characters with this rewrite.
