Raé Evans
Raé Evans asked Alwyn Hamilton:

Hi there, how long did it take to get a publisher that truly believed in your great writing?

Alwyn Hamilton I got really lucky when I was on submission. My agent sent my book out on on a Friday, and we had our first offer by the next Thursday. After that, the other publishers who still had it were urged to read it by Deadline X, and we went from there. So I think the book was sold within a month of going on submission.

However, before that I'd edited it with my agent for 4 months and had gone through the process of querying agents. And the process of writing the book and editing myself. So it was more than 2 years between my starting the book and finding a publisher and more than 3 before it was published!
