I'm interested in hearing about your early career if that's okay. :) What lessons have you learned about the business and the craft of writing that you wished you had known in the beginning? Do you write by hand, do you type, do you use dictation technology or a bit of all three? I just began reading the Vorkosigan Saga for the first time. I am now reading over 4 hours a day. Haha! Thank you for your work. :)

No dictation for me -- I very much need the eye-hand circuit to write. Verbal-aural is not my preferred mode.

Some of your characters are in nonstandard forms of romance; like an open marriage or polyamory. For example: Jole, Cordelia, and Aral. Arisaydia and Nikys' parents. Pen, Des, and Nikys together. And potentially Arisaydia, Tanar, and Bosha. Did you plan on highlighting other forms of romance or did it just happen with the plot? As a bisexual person I have found these representations heartening and encouraging. Thanks!

Apropos of the recent news about the artificial womb, after the uterine replicator, what SF technology would you most like to exist? A short answer is fine - hope your hand is healing well!
