Is there anything inappropriate for young readers in this book? My young DD is passionate about mathematics and is dying to read this book, and prefers to read the original versus the young readers version. She reads at a high school level. Thank you!

However, it is heavy on the math and science, but that's not all bad. Perhaps it will feed her interest in the STEM subjects. There is also a lot about Jim Crow laws, segregation and the civil rights movement. She can always skip the more technical stuff if she needs to. (less)
