Hello! I have enjoyed reading your Fools Gold Series- I'm on book 4 and I was wondering about the characters. They all seem like people that I could know in my own life. Are these characters based on family members or people you know or are the entirely fictional? They seem so real.

Thank you so much, Virma. That means a lot to me, truly. My characters are entirely fictional, but I work hard to breathe life into them. The part of my job as a writer that I take most seriously is getting the emotions right. I want readers to understand why characters feel the way they do, why they're being held back from falling in love, and what exactly it is that teaches them the lessons they need to learn in order to claim their happy ending.

I got an arc of THE GIRLS OF MISCHIEF BAY quite some time ago -- can't believe it is just now coming out. Will the series spin around these three women or will there be different protagonists in each book? Hope I've worded that right so that it makes sense. I'm a long time fan of yours from your early days at Harlequin. Congratulations on your success, as you have definitely earned it.

I love and adore your books, but the Fool's Gold series is getting too explicit for me. Is that just a trend, because other writers seem to be spicing things up too, and honestly, it ruins the book for me. I try to skim... but I have not purchased the last 2 or 3. I want to support my favorite author's by purchasing their books the first week of the release, but it has become a challenge for me.
