Hi mate.
If you're writing satire and dark comedy then a good tip is to look at the present moment in time and try to capture it through your storytelling. There's a lot going on across the world right now; many would say seismic shifts are taking place. Many established satirists are beginning to feel fazed by it all because life seems to be imitating the more absurd satire. I agree with them to some extent, but I also think this is an exciting time for young satirists like yourself to bring a much needed fresh angle to satire and dark comedy; particularly now we have the freedom granted to us through the internet.
Also, society communicates very differently to how it did ten, fifteen years ago. As a young pup who is growing up with the internet, you can look to incorporate this change in your stories simply by writing about what you see.
Lastly... at 14 you should relax a bit and give yourself some time to develop your style. You're way ahead of your peers. So meanwhile just keep reading as much dark comedy and satire as you can, but also read a wide-range of stuff and soak it all up.
As for my favourite books: Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh has to be up there. I've been meaning to reread it and write a review for about a year now. Hopefully that'll happen in 2017.
