This question isn't specifically about either one of those series, sorry, but I must ask you: What inspired you to start writing and how do you get your ideas? And once you get your ideas, what motivates and inspires you to stay with them?

I was a young mother of two, justifiably voted worst employee ever by my mom, and I'd dropped out of college...twice at that point, I think. (I've since dropped out thrice) I could not decide on a major. Couldn't see myself doing anything long term...until I pictured myself writing. I loved to read and I had my own stories percolating. I decided to go for it, and for the first time in my life, I poured myself into a job. I adored the process and knew I'd found my calling.
For me, inspiration is everywhere. Dreams, scripture, conversations I have or overhear, artwork, mythology... knowing I have a deadline lol All I need is the grain of an idea. Then I play the "What If" game, and boom, a story is born!
