Hi Gena! I've followed you closely over the years since you're one of the authors that initially got me into reading. Since you've moved onto Firstlife and other new books, I was curious as to why you stopped the Intertwined series? I've seen that you weren't continuing it, but I never knew why! That series got me through a surgery in grade 9 when I had to stay at home, so I'm just nosy! Thank you so much!

Gena Showalter I'll be brutally honest. The sales just weren't there. For me, writing is a job as much as a passion, and sales matter. If a series tanks, the publisher doesn't make money, the bookstores don't make money, the author doesn't make money, and it becomes a waste of time and resources to promote or try to sell it. But. I do want to give my dear readers who enjoyed the series closure, so I'll be writing a short story to give the characters the happily ever after they deserve. :) At the moment, I'm not sure when that story will be published, but I'll be sure to announce as soon as I do!
