Gena Showalter First, congrats on writing your book! That's the biggest step :) I did my agent search over a decade ago, so I'm certain things have changed since then. But. I found out which agents represented my favorite authors, believing we had similar tastes, and targeted them. It worked out for me! I've been with the same agent my entire career, and I love her.
