What inspired you to write the lords of the underworld, and the darkest angel series?

I'd had an idea about an immortal male dying one night only to awaken the next morning knowing he had to die again but I put the idea on the back burner. I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then came contract time, and I HAD to give my publisher an idea or I wouldn't be selling a book. So I pitched the above to my agent and she said what I suspected: You need more. So I sat down and played the What If and Why game. What if this happens? What i that happens? WHY do those things happen? The Lords of the Underworld were born :)
Then, having written the Lords, I decided I wanted to write about their opposites: men born into light rather than dark. And I was surprised to find they had similar struggles!

First of all, thank you for writing such an amazing series (I'm talking about the White Rabbit Chronicles), I am so glad I found out about your books! My question: do you believe in the stars? I mean, if I'm not wrong you wrote that Cole was born in January and that makes me think he's a capricorn, just like me. Let me tell you that even if you don't believe in star signs, you described him as a real capricorn!!
