I hit a wall with The Darkest Seduction. I ended up trashing around 200 pages of my first and second draft. I wanted to pair Paris with a different heroine; he insisted on being paired with Sienna. In the end, I broke through the wall by giving him what he wanted.
But. Anytime I get stuck on a scene, I change my surroundings. I go for a walk or a drive, take a shower, go play with my dogs or even take a nap, falling asleep as I picture different ways the scene could go. The answer always comes.
