Although some of this book is interesting and it much of it is racial issues and to African American issues in everyday life today. It is also full of swear words, references to sex, etc. that would be inappropriate to a 12 year old. I was deeply disappointed in this book that I was looking forward to. I never heard of Phoebe Robinson before, had I then I might have skipped it altogether.(less)
