Goodreads asked Chris G. Wright:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Chris G. Wright The inspiration buildup, which can keep you up at night or make you absent during a conversation, is treated when you convey it to a screen via keyboard. It's satisfying knowing it's not in your head any more. It can be a mess of words, but at least it's not clogging up the functionality of your brain. Then, you are free to sculpt it as you wish. You pick out the unnecessary words and then you add the ones that paint a better picture. Before you know it, you have an engaging setting where the reader can immerse himself/herself into your world. For as long as they read your work, they become you or they see the things your mind's eye can see or they think the way you think.
