I think I speak for every writer when I say "MY fictional book world". All the world-building and characters, all the events tying both together, I'd be mad to travel anywhere else. I'd like to meet the people - the good, the bad and the ugly - that I've become attached to; hang out with them; tell them that everything little thing is going to be alright.

The inspiration buildup, which can keep you up at night or make you absent during a conversation, is treated when you convey it to a screen via keyboard. It's satisfying knowing it's not in your head any more. It can be a mess of words, but at least it's not clogging up the functionality of your brain. Then, you are free to sculpt it as you wish. You pick out the unnecessary words and then you add the ones that paint a better picture. Before you know it, you have an engaging setting where the reader can immerse himself/herself into your world. For as long as they read your work, they become you or they see the things your mind's eye can see or they think the way you think.

Whatever is in your head, get it on a piece of paper or on a computer screen. Your imagination could inspire people, it could change a person's mindset, it could make you rich or it could make you happy, it could be your voice shouting out to the world by expressing the world in your head. Don't sit there worrying about costs or profits, or who will like your book and who won't. The planet has billions of people. Someone will want to step into your imagination. Who knows, I might be that person.

Currently trying to build my website. There's a skeleton of a website, and I only worked on it a bit back in August to make a start before the book launch. Now, with book 1 out of the way, I can add the finishing touches. I'm also working on book 2, The Promise.

Pinterest is a good source of inspiration. I search all things space/alien/robots-related and I just brows through the photos looking for that special one that will set off an alarm in my head. Reading a science fiction book or watching a movie (even if I've watched it 100 times) will drive me to the keyboard. Songs that give me goosebumps or excite me or make me sad, usually Hans Zimmer or Thomas Newman, are usually my primary resort.

A dystopian Earth had always been on my mind in some shape or form. I had a rough idea of what I wanted to write, I just needed the push. I remember coming back from the cinema having watched Oblivion (2013-Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman) and there was a clearer picture in my head. I often get inspired by a picture, a song, a scene while playing videogames or watching a movie, another book.
